2016 is the year of the artist, teacher and art historian Kārlis Baumanis’ 100th anniversary and it is celebrated with an exhibition in Daugava gallery. As if just passing by, we touch upon the ambitious heritage he has left – sculptures, collection of medals, graphics, paintings and get a chance to walk the path of his life: Rauna – Rīga – Limbaži – Rīga. For the artist’s anniversary year his daughter Laine Kainaize and Daugava gallery have created a small edition that calls to remember, touch on the feelings, memories, reflections which Kārlis Baumanis inspired with his presence, work and knowledge.
