In the Middle of Summer

Exhibition Contemporary Painting of Latvia took place in MOYA (Museum of Young Art) in Vienna from November 7 through November 28, 2008. Gallery Daugava exposed recent paintings of Laima Bikše, Normunds Brasliņš, Andris Eglītis, Dace Lielā, Frančeska Kirke, Aleksejs Naumovs, Aija Zariņa, Vija Zariņa, Kaspars Zariņš.
The exhibition was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Latvia. The Embassy of Austria in Latvia and the Embassy of Latvia in Austria supported this project as well as companies Skonto Būve and ACB.
Gallery Daugava has published the catalogue of the exhibition.
The rector of the Latvian Academy of Art, professor Aleksejs Naumovs, a former professor’s student, congratulates him.
The publishers of the album: director of the Gallery Daugava Anda Treija and director of the publishing house "Jumava" Juris Visockis.
Photographer Didzis Grodzs shows the new edition at an original angle.
The first copy is going to be presented to the President after Imants Vecozols has signed it.

Among the admirers of Biruta Baumane’s painting are also Mr. Valdis Zatlers and Mrs. Lilita Zatlere, they had a pleasant meeting at the exhibition of Imants Vecozols.
Painter Laima Bikše has studied under Imants Vecozols, the artist still pays a great attention to her painting and thinks highly of it. At the presentation of the album Laima is together with her daughter Aina. Laima’s contribution to the album is her article on Imants Vecozols.
The President of Latvia Mr. Valdis Zatlers and Mrs. Lilita Zatlere visited the exhibition "In The Middle of Summer" and participated in the presentation of the album "Imants Vecozols. Painting" which took place in the Gallery on August 28.
