For the last five years the best draftsmen at the Art Academy are sought to be awarded the Boriss Berzins’ scholarship for one year. This occurs during the assessment exhibitions of the students’ drawings. This year the selection was difficult since about seven outstanding students were competing for a limited number of scholarships. But finally the following participants were selected as the best draftsmen: Māra Brīvere, Kristīna Graudule, Sigita Lūse.

The gallery Daugava and its proprietor Guntis Rāvis who is financing the scholarship congratulate the three winners. At the opening of the exhibition “Draughtman” the proprietor will meet the previous year’s scholarship holders as well as this year’s winners. The drawings by the Boriss Bērziņš’ scholarship holders will be displayed in the exhibition at the gallery Daugava.
