Andrejs Ameļkovičs

He received his professional education in the Janis Rozentals Riga Art High school and in the Painting Department of the Latvian Art Academy (1967 – 1994). In 1992 he studied at Humbolt State University in Arcata, California, the USA. He received a Master’s degree from the Latvian Art Academy in 2002. From 1998 to 2002 he taught drawing in the Drawing Department of the Latvian Art Academy as an assistant professor. He has been contributing to exhibitions since 1989. Since 2000 he is a member of the Latvian Artists’ Union. His artworks can be found in private collections in Latvia, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Korea, Japan, Sweden, France, Finland and the USA.
